Longhorn Alert

Background

The University of Texas at Austin - Longhorn Alert system is used in a multitude of ways to communicate with the entire University of Texas at Austin community. From students, faculty and staff - to guests, parents and visitors, we want to be able to reach our community members before and during any emergency situation. The Longhorn Alert system is tested on the first Wednesday of each month to ensure its functionality. We work with our community to ensure notifications are received in a number of ways like SMS text message, email and or phone call for all types of emergency situations. For more information and context you can visit our FAQs page.
